"Excellent restaurant- awesome Sashimi. Unfortunately closed on Monday nights? Need transportation to get around. ( I took taxi kinda spendy. )The Spa has awesome natural spring water. The staff eas awesome."
"The facilty is old & the room smelled of cigarettes, but everything else was wonderful. If looking for authentic Japanese experience (for the working and middle class Japanese) this is a very good experience. Dinner and breakfast buffet was really good. However there's little to do around the lake, unlike Yamashiro ir Yamanaka onsen area.

"Onsen is located on a river and surrounded by nature. Very picturesque. The food served was excellent, traditional cuisine, lots of variety, and plentiful. I appreciated the free shuttle service from the train station to the onsen, this needs to be arranged beforehand through the expedia booking platform. The room was clean. Facilities could benefit from upgrades. "
"Wonderful place to stay - room was beautiful, service impeccable, and I would like to thank the staff helping us for making our stay nothing but the best. "
"This was my first time to stay in a Ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) and I really like it! The hotel was a bit old but still in good condition. They have indoor & outdoor hotspring pool plus many other facilities for you to enjoy during your stay. Buffet breakfast & dinner both were great too. Free shuttle service available too to pick up from/drop off to Kagaonsen station. Thumb up!"

"Fantastic experience staying here. Had the breakfast one day which was a nice traditional Japanese style breakfast and quite good, but keep in mind the fish market is right across the street. This location was perfect for us, easily walkable to most of the attractions Kanazawa had to offer. The public baths were overall pleasant, although my wife had the unfortunate experience that a woman brought her 6-8 year old son into the women’s bath and felt uncomfortable with that. The beds were huge and rooms overall spacious especially compared to the Tokyo hotels we were used to. Would certainly recommend this hotel."
"This ryokan is very dated and in dire need of a refresh. The facilities are not what you would expect from a top end facility in a spa town. The public bath (men’s) felt decades old with soap/salt staining and old fittings. The private baths were a good facility/idea.
Most corridors apart from the main lobby area had an unpleasant smell (musty, mouldy). Our room also faintly had this whiff.
The staff are great - polite and efficient. Breakfast was good.
The free snacks, sale, ice cream buffets were a good idea but don’t expect them to be top quality.
The shuttle was handy. And the ryokan is well situated, a short walk away from charming Yamanaka town.
Unfortunately I could not recommend this as a place until it has had a make-over. "
"This place was a perfect option for out honemoon- the room was comfortable and well air conditioned and the onsen were superlative.
Special mention for breakfast and the midnight Ramen which were outstanding!"
"I very much liked this place. And they did me a favor, I wasn’t able to use the purple bimi ticket, so they made a dinner option just for me, and I looked at the menu- the dinner was worth more than the cost of the ticket. They helped me out beyond what they needed to do, I highly recommend this hotel."
"The Hotel it's nice, needs updates, but still comfortable.
The staff was amazing. Super friendly and helpful. What a pleasure to be there.
The restaurants have good food too. "
