“Everything was nice, clean, quiet and staff was friendly”

“The Ashville Guesthouse is a charming property just on the outskirts of Westport. The room was spacious, clean and quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly prepared with something for every taste. The full Irish breakfast was excellent. Hilary and Oliver are exceptional hosts and make their guests feel very comfortable. I highly recommend this B&B and will book again if my travels take me back to the area.”

“Nice clean rooms. Comfy beds. The toilets are communal but there’s lots of them so we never waited for them. It actually speeded us all up getting ready as we had a toilet each in the morning. Free supplies for breakfast and a fully functioning kitchen. Big car park too. The only negative was the check in process. You collect keys from the bar and there was a party on so we had to wait half an hour for someone to come with the keys ”

“Great location in Cong. Close to everything. Parking wasn't a problem. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. The only advice is that they don't have an elevator/lift. If you're on the second floor, you will have to haul your luggage up a narrow flight of stairs. Also, like most places in Ireland, no wash clothes. ”

“Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wildes Restaurant was very enjoyable for breakfast and dinner. Just a couple of criticism, the breakfast order of eggs benedict was served on toasted sour dough which was very difficult to cut through and chew and spoiled the enjoyment of it. I believe that traditional English muffins are a better choice to serve eggs benedict on. Although the rack of lamb was beautifully cooked it still required a steak knife to cut it , but this was not provided. ...

“The temperature of the pool was too cold as was the sauna. There was no body wash in the showers which you would expect in a 4 star hotel. Also the showers were cold in the evening but they were hot in the morning. We didn't have a good breakfast experience either. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table as it was very busy. However all the fruit was gone.and the bread and fruit juice. When our breakfasts eventually arrived some items were missing. Disappoiywith this supposedly 4 star hotel.”

“Staff were very courteous, rooms comfortable, undercover parking and close to town were all issues which added to our enjoyment of this property. The meals in the hotel area were also hearty and good value. Certainly recommend this property. ”

“Staff were excellent, had an issue with room heating, health with it quickly and efficiently, no issues. I think it's equally important to rate a hotel not just on how well it runs but also how it handles any issues should they crop up. Would be happy to return on my next visit. ”

“Excellent breakfast buffet. Very nice rooms. The dinning room staff were very polite and friendly. Some small maintenance issues with the room, like a burnt out light by the door/bathroom and a sticky door lock (had to make sure the door was closed and locked). We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. ”
