“This was our second stay and it’s a lovely property with wonderful staff that was both friendly and very accommodating…the food in the restaurant and sea deck bar is excellent. Our only complaint was a musty smell in one of the two rooms we rented that was quite overpowering and the lobby fireplace wasn’t working on a cooler day when the patio door was left open. We would definitely stay here again.”
“The house itself is lovely, the room was very comfortable, the beds were heavenly, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were accommodating when we had some delays checking in and out. The shower was the only downside--it was very hard to get the water to turn on and the water pressure was weak.”

Its an old Victorian Type Hotel but you get what you pay for,Yes there could be a few improvements here and there with the Structure but what suits some dosen't suit others. The price was right so there you go. Would we go again yes. ”

“We stayed 2 days and it was excellent. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The large drawing room that overlooks Loch Melfort was also available for us to use which we enjoyed. We enjoyed a delicious 4 course dinner on the evening of our arrival prepared and served by our host Mathew. This was our first visit to Melfort House and hopefully we will be back again soon.”
“Lovely hotel with easy parking, great food (try the tart for dessert!), beautiful views in the lounge and restuaraunt, and a delightful pool and spa area. Note that you do need reservations for the outdoor hot tub (we were late arrivals and early departure, and did not check on the process for that).
Would happily return and hopefully spend more than one night next time.”
