"The lodge is beautiful in very peaceful area, it was very clean with everything we needed. We used it mainly for a base as we were traveling so only really slept there. The lodge is situated between 2 other properties and would benefit ( I’m my opinion) with blinds on all lower windows. The bed is very comfortable but a bit on the narrow side. "Checked in fine, room was small, a sink in the middle of the units so not much room to put anything on them. No bedside unit/shelf at one side of bed, bed was comfortable though. Tiny shower room with toilet ( no sink in there) found a few public hairs in the bottom of the shower!! Waited a long time for drinks at supper, i think we were forgotten about?Waited nearly an hour for our food, food was excellent couldn't fault it at all no surprise the restaurant is popular."

"The hotel is located very close to Nairn beach which is just a a few hundred metres away and can be accessed by walk. The surrounding area is residential and beautifully maintained. Our room was clean (Room 12). It was on the ground floor in the garden. Access was easy to the room from the garden where I parked my car. The only issue was the very small wash basin (this was a room designed for physically challenged people). The wash basin was indeed a real problem as it was very low (great if you were using a wheelchair) and incredibly small. Simon informed us that he has plans to update this soon. The bed was brilliant and the shower was excellent. Breakfast was very good and was served with love and kindness. Simon and Jenny were simply excellent as hosts. They had time to chat to us and gave us a lot of tips to go around the highlands. It was a pity that we had to leave. When we return to the highlands this will be the place we shall be staying. Thank you Simon and Jenny."

"Property was completely unlocked and empty of people. Had to use posted number on unlocked door to contact an employee who showed up 15 minutes later. Was taken to a dirty unmade bedroom with old and mismatched furniture. Bathroom was 30 yards away with no toiletries and no mirror Water was luc warm. Carpet throughout the building was rhreadbare. After 20 minutes I decided to vacate the hotel due to watching a rat run down the hallway."
