"Receptionist on check in was not friendly and did not explain where breakfast was held, breakfast times, if I wanted dinner reservations etc. It was all robotic - sign here and basically give me your payment. So as a first impression from a long journey not great. Room had suitable amenities. Kettle, biscuits, hairdrier. Shower very powerful. Bed comfy. Breakfast good selection. Staff friendly and efficient in the breakfast area. Hotel clean."

"I honestly cannot rate this hotel high enough, the rooms were absolutely spotless, the breakfasts were amazing and the staff. Well every single member of staff were pleasant, polite, courteous and helpful. The aircon was heaven sent in the heatwave, I had amazing sleep every night yet my brother in law in a budget hotel was tormented with heat. I will without a doubt stay there again and wont even contemplate looking at other hotels."

"Lovely hotel on the sea front. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Shops, restaurants, steam railway all within walking distance. The breakfast was excellent. The complimentary soft drinks and snacks were a nice touch. Room was adequate for a 1 night stay, lovely bathroom & comfortable bed. Would return again and recommend to others"

"Breakfast was excellent and evening meals were good value for money. The staff were friendly, kind and very helpful. The hotel's location was perfect with adjacent parking for our classic car. It was right on the market square and the bus stop with a regular bus service was just outside. The room was good and clean. "Staff was kind and helpful. Our room was odd to get to going up the stairs then down the stairs. No A/C so windows open… except open to a bar right outside which was loud until 3am. Yikes. Wonderful location next to the promenade and shops. Good food options around too. TV was small. Bar area had broken drafts for the beer. Breakfast was so/so but they would make you eggs however you’d like fresh, so that was nice."
