Great hotel! Felt extremely safe & secure traveling with my daughter. Staff was very helpful & friendly. Busy location right in the theater district. Room was quiet & clean. Would definitely stay again.

Having worked in libraries when I was young and volunteered in a Nica library when I was old the name drew me to the hotel but also that it was on Madison Ave right by Bryant Park. Very cool without being hipster, yeah which means the hotel had a closet with plenty of hangers, drawers, the right amenities in addition to a great location, fantastic staff and yes lots of shelves with books. One floor not only had books but a piano with lots of drinks and snacks but also was opened 24/7. The "Rooftop" which was on my filters had an excellent creative comfortable design with a small menu for food and of course drinks, also had wonderful indoors spots. While with only 14 intimate floors you don't get the best sunsets but you get cracks between buildings and a pink sky above. I even found a book in the lobby of Magritte that was published in Spain and had photos of his paintings I had ever seen before. Not the icing on the cake but the candles to brighten my experience.

The room was freezing cold. We tried to set the temperature to a higher one bit kept waking up cold and nothing changed. Also the room was nothing like the photos in the website. It was tiny and there was barely any day light.
