“I happen to hit it on a very busy end of week where they were doing huge amounts of maintenance ....washing huge amounts of windows… Sitting at the pool was excruciating in that the machines that were washing the windows and workers were so loud. That was very disappointing and I thought the pool area looked a little downtrodden...The rest of the hotel was lovely. People were very accommodating. ”

“We picked the Doyle for its location; this was a one night stop on a longer vaca, and it was perfect. Toured Monticello then checked in here and walked to Belmont and the downtown mall for dinner and ice cream. Another short walk in the AM for brunch and a stroll thru UVa campus before we left. Standard room was fine - minimalist, but clean and everything you need. Lobby, bar and rooftop restaurant are all beautiful!”
