“The most ran down dirty room I’ve been in years. Breakfast was a joke. The bathroom door was broken. It smelled moldy in the room. Bathroom stool ran none stop. I would not recommend this place to anyone”

“Facility smells musty/moldy. Our room carpet was soaking wet and strong moldy smell. Front desk denied the smell and wet floor. Had to threaten to leave with refund to get a new room. Breakfast was no good. Bread oatmeal and cereal VERY stale, milk not fresh, apples were all rotting in bowl. Only thing worth eating was yogurt and there was only 3 of those in the fridge and there were 6 of us there to eat.”

“It’s a good stay. Nothing spectacular but the staff (probably the owners) were very sweet and nice. I’m not too picky and I felt safe in the area. There weren’t any disturbances and my room was pretty clean. The place certainly looks rustic if I was to comment on it but if you’re looking just for a bed and shower it’s great. They had good but loud AC, a Roku TV, mini fridge, and a microwave. If I travel to Des Moines again by myself, I’ll probably stop here again as the price was good”
