Room was clean but slightly outdated and not as big as we had thought it would be, especially for one shared with 5 adults and a baby. Staff were polite and were always quick to accommodate the baby.
The hotel room is cozy and the hot spring bath is good despite the fact that it was quite busy during the new year.
The dinner and breakfast are both good. The staff are also nice and helpful.
This is the traditional Japanese onsen hotel
The breakfast was great
Many Japanese style food along breads, pasta , sausage
The onsen is awesome
Staff speaks English
They have shuttle pick up from jr station and they even drove us to bus station when we requested it
Enjoyed the onsens so much here. The restaurant service was great, food was great and the staff were so friendly with our little boy.(thank you for your patience and smile!) The Japanese style room was cozy and not humid at all. We were lucky that it snowed a few times during our stay. Waking up to a beautiful snowing view outside the window was amazing. Great experience.
Beautiful hotel… had breakfast included, which was very yummy. Hotel at the top of the hill z..quick walk to the town, but the walk back is a killer! There is a shuttle but it’s only drops. And picks up at the train station.
The hotel has a lot of public hot bath option, and also many spa menu they have, but I could not make reservation even tough after check in around 15:30. The spa and public baths are very popular for day time visitor so I recommend to make reservation ahead of time, if you want spa menu.
Dinner was wonderful full course Japanese Kaiseki.
I will be back with my family.
If you just want to relax, bring something back from 711, and go bath-hopping in Taiko no yu within Hotel, this is your place. Shuttles to station and ropeway, but some steep hills to get here and around town to other baths. All cost entrance fees.
Staffs are super helpful. Although they are not good at english, they tried their best to explain the courses for us! so impressive!
And the onsen is nice, big, and not too full of people
a great onsen place with lots to offer. Many different types of onsen as well. Love the experience. Will come back for sure. The only thing you have to watch out for is. Take the shuttle bus and try not to walk up the really steep hill to the hotel. It is definitely some cardio exercise. But, if you take the shuttle bus, which is very convenient, you will save yourself some harsh exercise.
There was cigarette smell in the room, but when I told a receptionist about that, the receptionist was not kind enough to solve the issue. And the hotel food was not good and fresh enough.
