The hotel was absolutely amazing! The staff was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to meet our every need. Everything was spotless, and there was always someone available to help whenever we needed it.
We stayed in the VIP Besso area, which was truly amazing. The dinners each night were spectacular, and the entire experience was exceptional. I’d highly recommend this hotel!
We enjoyed every minute of our relaxing stay! Staff were very helpful and accommodating. The food was great! Can’t say enough about the private bath, it was so refreshing after 8 days of nonstop sight seeing.
By far the best hotel I have stayed at. Better than any hotel in NYC.
The hospitality is top notch as well as the food and entertainment. A classy hotel. Will not disappoint any customer.
This was THE BEST hotel we have ever stayed at. We stayed in the ‘Mizuho Western Room with Open Air Bath, Mt. Fuji View’.
From start to finish, everything was spot on - the staff were all super friendly and attentive, the room was immaculate, the views of Fuji from our private onsen were stunning (very lucky with the weather) and the food (Kaiseki meals served in-room) was incredible. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a special stay!
We loved our stay here and already want to come back. All the staff were so kind. Especially the ladies that brought our dinner to the room, thank you for a great experience. Definitely recommend visiting the entire garden, it was beautiful and even bigger than we expected. Great amenities. So relaxing. Will be back! Arigatou-gozaimasu!
The staff is extremely professional and engaging throughout the entire property. Each person you encounter makes you feel welcome. We were in the Fukuchi A suite and this offers the ability to choose between a western style bed or a Japanese futon. This suite in particular is stunning with its layout, the private onsen, and the ability to open and close sliding panels to make spaces more open or intimate depending on your mood. The in-room dining experience was fantastic. This particular suite came with the access to 3 different lounge spaces and we took advantage of all of them. The gardens are impeccably landscaped and are just waiting for the right photo opportunity to be found at any time of the day. Wonderful experience. The property was so big that even after a two night stay, we did not see the entire hotel. Two nights is a must especially if you have a suite with a private onsen. Transportation to and from the Mishima or Gotemba Station was seamless and on time. Thank you Bessho SASA. Look forward to returning
This stay exceeded our expectations. From the moment we were greeted upon check-in, to the warm farewell we received on our way out the door, no detail was missed. The open-air bath in our room with views of Mount Fuji was a spectacular amenity that we took advantage of as much as possible. The staff were so warm and friendly, the breakfast and dinner were delicious. They also went out of their way to accommodate our infant child as much as possible, that really helped to make our stay even more relaxing. We highly recommend this ryokan for anyone looking to have a truly unforgettable stay near mt Fuji.
My boyfriend and I had an excellent one night stay at the Bessho Sasa. We were pleasantly surprised by the many activities and experiences offered in the evening that were included in our package. Our private dinner went beyond what we could have imagined. The staff at this hotel think of everything for their guests and work very efficiently. We appreciated and enjoyed the yukatas and robes provided by the hotel. The Japanese garden and private onsen in our hotel was beautiful and relaxing. This one night stay will likely be the highlight of our 3 week trip in Japan!
This was the best resort stay I have ever had! The staff went over and beyond what was expected. The view was spectacular! The food was including the room dinner and breakfast were amazing. The amenities were equally as amazing, so many different things to do that we actually didn’t have enough time to do them all unfortunately. I would love to return at some point.
Staffs are very attentive since the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is an attraction. We stayed for 2 nights but it feels like there are still a lot to explore in the hotel. Will definitely come back!
Everything was incredible. The staff & service was phenomenal, we felt like royalty upon our arrival. I don’t know how we would stay anywhere else after staying here.
This was such a great Japanese immersive experience. We loved every aspect of our stay. The onsen was so lovely to relax in and the staff went above and beyond with their gracious service !
The room was absolutely beautiful! The private open onsen inside our room was breathtaking. We had a perfect view of Mt. Fuji. The staff was so kind and accommodating! We loved the drum show and the breakfast inside the Garden Terrace. I loved this stay so much. Will definitely come back.
Stay more than one night!
This hotel is exceptional, and with almost no Foreign tourists it is a true gem.
We booked one of the bessho sasa rooms, since we wanted to have a private onsen. Room was clean, spaceous, and (if it wasn't for the clouds) a amazing view of fuji. In room private dinning with the best service we have ever experienced in any hotel.
Also, Kaneyamaen has its own private garden, with tea houses, and other smaller activities. If you feel more adventurous, then then Kaneyamaen also offers other guided activities. (Do this on your second day).
Lastly there is free shuttlebus to and from train/bus stations.

..... We hope to come back one day and see this amazing place again.

10/10 views of Mt. Fuji and incredible hospitality. While it’s not located near much, there’s plenty to do on the property with multiple onsens and private baths, a beautiful garden, a nightly drum show, and several restaurants.
They also offer a private shuttle from nearby train stations like Mishima. It’s a paid service, but highly recommended for a smooth and easy arrival.
At times, it felt like an all inclusive resort thanks to the way the stay is set up, with in room dining, unlimited drinks, snack rooms, and a full lineup of amenities.
I love everything about this hotel! Staff were excellent with great customer service. Room was spotless to me. Also, the view of Mt. Fuji to the room i booked was amazing. The hotel has different activities though out the day to keep u busy! I would definitely stay at this place again!!!
Incredibly friendly staff with a lot of activities to participate in on site. Hotel is perfectly tucked away in nature—great escape from the bigger cities.
