โAll staff from security, reception, restaurant & cleaning were so welcoming & friendly. All staff spoke good english.
Hotel was excellent with free boat ride & afternoon tea.
Rooms were clean & modern.
Eating in the restaurant is pricey.โ
โWonderful hotel right on the lake. Very easy check-in and friendly staff who went out of their way to assist throughout our short stay. Very clean rooms and superb quality - fantastic value - an absolute bargain for the price.
The infinity pool is amazing - only minor issue is that there are only two sunbeds.
There was a complementary boat ride on the lake that we only found out about at check-in which was fantastic.

Hotel staff go out of their way to help you, they arranged our transport wherever we wanted to go and prices were fantasticโ

โA nice break from a very busy Varkala. Best if you have transportation. The natural setting is calm, and it's worth exploring the beach across the waterway, accessible via kayak or 2km walk.โ
โReally sweet spot just off the beach up a commerce alley. Jishnu the host was very nice and helpful with getting comfortable. Hot shower if you want it - but Iโve learned to love taking cold showers here - and the bathroom was perfectly clean and well appointed. I will be back here at the Gypsy next year for sure.โ
โBrand new hotel. Great location next to the Helipad and 1 min walk to the beach and plenty of cafes, shops and restaurants.
Stayed in room 301. It has a great view of the sea and the Helipad so if you like people watching this is the place for you. Very, very clean room and all hotel facilities too. Room was really good size. Linen and bed were really nice, all new and comfortable.

โWe were a honeymoon couple and we were not given the category of room which we had asked for and booked for- floating room. Whilst booking we had called the hotel that we particularly want the floating room when booked with expedia but not given. Even the staff is lousy. Expedia staff kept calling the hotel but the night Reception staff kept hanging their phone without answering and finally kept the phone aside.spoiled our honeymoon plans. โ
โHaving travelled around India for 5 weeks it was refreshing to find a hotel where we werenโt pestering for reviews every 5 minutes! Maybe thatโs because they donโt need to as they already know that their staff are all friendly and helpful, the hotel and rooms comfortable and spotlessly clean, nice food and pool. And all this just a short stroll to all the amenities of North Cliff. We were there when the monsoon started and as we had a late flight they allowed us to use our room until late...
