You may need pay more than you think you owe

It seemed at first a good hotel, before I took a shower and the pressure was weak or put on the air conditioner which leaked on the clothes I had put under it to dry. But these happened to be minor issues compared to what happened next. I rented the hotel's car Fiat Panda and lost the car keys. The manager asked me to pay €300 without providing any written document of the service provider with the new keys' price or of the car insurance's coverage. When I asked to know how he had calculated this amount, he threatened me with the police if I wouldn't pay and said that he regretted that he hadn't asked of me a €500 caution before giving me the car! He didn't even know that €300 was the maximum excess I was liable for under my rental contract: the receptionist and I found it! I paid the €300, but still find outrageous to ask a caution of €500 when the maximum excess is €300. This only means that the hotel wants to have access to a greater amount than provided for in the rental contract, so that in case of a disagreement with a customer it would be able to force this customer to pay. I find such an attitude despicable and uncivilized. So, if you go to this place and, moreover, use the hotel's car rental service (€45/day), that's what may well happen to you: to be forced to pay more than you think you owe, on a manager's whim.

Great option for Kos Town

Enjoyed my stay. Very comfortable room, walking distance from everything. Only issue was the WiFi, which is very unstable.

Nice room and good service. Very good breakfast buffet. Very welcoming and helpful Personnel who help with car rental arrangement, and sightseeing information. We recommend this hotel for stay at Kos. Hotel is walking distance from the center near the Harbor so every city restaurant and store it in close proximity.

Olympia Hotel

Olympia Hotel is located a few minutes walk from everything you need to see in Kos Town. Marina, Ferry Port, restaurants/cafés, cultural and historic sites all within 5-15 minutes walk. Transport is definitely not needed. Staff is very helpful. Allowed us to check-in early and noon check-out is great. Also held our luggage and allowed to wait in restaurant or patio until we had to leave. Fast WiFi connection. This was also still available after we checked out. Overall a great experience at Olympia Hotel. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Ottima posizione, personale molto gentile e sempre disponibile. L'unica nota negativa è che io non sapevo che l'hotel ha metà camere nuove (quelle che si vedono nella recensioni) e metà camere vecchie abbastanza disastrate, se lo avessi saputo per qualche € in più avrei scelto quelle finchè ce ne erano disponibili.

Als Stadthotel ganz o.k.

Das Hotel liegt absolut zentral zu den Stränden, zum Hafen oder zur Altstadt. Es befindet sich in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße fernab des Trubels der Disco Meile. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig, relativ kahl aber sauber. Leider sind die Matratzen viel zu hart und wir haben sehr schlecht geschlafen. Auch ist alles sehr hellhörig. Das Frühstück ist gut, auch wenn die Auswahl recht eingeschränkt ist. Der Kaffee schmeckt, der Saft ist angerührt und schmeckt entsprechend. Für die Durchreise oder einen Stadtbesuch ganz o. k. aber sicher kein Urlaubshotel.

Bra läge på hotellet. Trevlig och vänlig personal. Ett stort minus för att det stod att alla rum hade möblerad balkong, vår balkong var 25 cm bred så där fanns ingen möjlighet att sitta....

Good location for transfer to / from ferries

I don't really have anything against this hotel. It is what it is, a place to rest up whilst waiting for a ferry or 'plane connection. You would not want to stay more than a day or two. The owner is a chain smoker which might put you off. If you pay in advance MAKE SURE you take the CONFIRMATION that the money has been COLLECTED and if possible take a card statement to back it up, otherwise you will be expected to pay again.
