The hotel was ok but you feel far away from the real Kyoto vibes. We have been to the other Loisir hotel in Kyoto ( the Garden) and we were more happy there. In Toji you will feel more isolated from the real Kyoto. On the other way , if you like to walk you have the main train station at 22 minutes and a big shopping mall across the street.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The room was comfortable, spacious, and had many amenities. The best thing was the view. It is well worth paying for this type of room. The hotel staff were very friendly, considerate, and attentive. The onsen inside the hotel is fantastic, and the proximity to Kyoto Station is great. We will definitely be back!

Location was close to the mall and station. Our room was nice and clean. Overall, it was a pleasant stay for our short Kyoto visit. But be aware to pay the extra tourists fee of $1200 for us for 2 people with 3 nights, which isn’t covered.

It's not walking distance to many of the places we visited, but it's very close to train and bus access. Even though it wasn't walking distance to many places, I would still stay here again. The space and the comfort in the room outweighed the location. Was also glad that there was a mall with several food choices across the street for the days we didn't want to take a bus ride out.
