This town has both a tourist port as well as being large enough to have a non-tourist population. It is rougher but thus more complete a town than Cassis. Both are good places with unique personality.

While visiting Le Liouquet, you might make a stop by sights like Gulf of Lion and Plage du Liouquet.

Great location, right across from the water. Along the water with lots of restaurant options. We came to la ciotat to visit the beautiful calanques which are just a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Perfect location, just what we needed. Great breakfast also! Comfortable beds, big rooms

I had an appointment at a villa in the hills and needed an inexpensive place to spend the night not too far from the train station. I arrived late so needed special instructions to get in (code etc.). They were very helpful about all of that and for my return to the station I was given a shuttle ...
