"Our visit to Brier Island Lodge began with a very warm welcome by 2 staff members. They checked us in quickly, told us about the on site restaurant and directed us to helpful reading about the area ( including whale watching). The rooms are rustic with limited amenities and only certain days of housekeeping Views from our personal patio were just great morning, afternoon or night! We ate most meals in the restaurant Haddock in many forms plus a great burger and delicious hot breakfasts. Pricing felt a little high but when on the island we were grateful to have meals close at hand as we began or ended our day according to the ferry schedule We would return to the Inn and might spring for the upgraded building to celebrate a special occasion! Whale Watching in a Zodiac or larger craft was simply AWESOME. We took an 80 year old dear friend and she was able to check this long desired wish off of her bucket list. Dress in layers and with a jacket. Even when it is warm on land it is really cold on the open water! A scenic, friendly place to stay! Brier Island Lodge does Brier Island proud! Well done, Nova Scotia!!!"

"Overall great hotel girl at front desk check in was not accommodating & spent more time talking on phone or to other employees than actually checking me in!! Then had 2 rooms booked & requested them near each other ( which I know is not always possible) but not even same floor? When i asked her she simply said NO!!!!"
