"We had a fantastic stay for four nights with our two kids! The hotel has a fantastic location- very close to the main square, shops, restaurants, and the river (but without being too chaotic or noisy). The staff was very nice and helpful. The communal drink area is very nice to be able to access all day. I also appreciated having laundry and ironing facilities. The only tiny downside was that the dryer didn't really work- things were still wet after 2+ hours. All in all, we had a great time and can't wait to come back!"

"Check-in was a shambles. The room I’d booked was not available, therefore I was downgraded to a sub-quality room. I had booked for 6 nights, the hotel admitted liability stating they’d stuffed up. Rooms do not have air conditioning, they have fans. If you want a portable air conditioner it costs 25 franks per day (this was waived due to their stuff up). I ended up in the crappy room 3 nights and the correct room 3 nights. Errors like this should not happen. Management was very nice."

"This hotel was very close to both the train station and the main tourist activities. The location was excellent! On top of that, the staff were gracious and kind, eager to help and provide suggestions for meals and tourist sites, and directions. The room was spotless, with great AC to cool the room during a hot day! Beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options. I couldn't recommend more!"

"Conveniently located next to Bern train station. Close to the Parliament, restaurants and local food store. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Beds were comfy. Only negative we had a charcuterie board one evening which was too large for only 2 and quite pricey."

"Best hotel in Europe! The staff is so friendly and helpful! It was my birthday they sent a cake to my room! They let us do late check out! Modern elegant and the gardens and restaurant are beautiful! Fully recommended!"

"Very easy to reach with bus 101 or 107 from Bern with a supermarket just next door. Lovely room, helpful staff and excellent value for money. Don’t really understand the negative reviews as we loved it!"

"This is just an amazing hotel in the perfect location--right at the entrance to the old city and directly adjacent to the train station. Our room was clean and well appointed, and I can't say enough about the staff, especially the desk clerk who helped us figure out the Aare swimming logistics, She even provided us with a hotel branded dry bag for floating down the river. My only comment is that the AC was not that strong, but the staff did provide us with a supplemental AC unit which cooled the room down considerably. HIGHLY recommend !"
