โVery nice motel. A bit dated, but I did not care! Although decor was old, that was the charm. Should give warning that no staff on premise all the time. Was it luck that someone was in the office waiting for me? Great location and very quiet.โ
โClean well equipped room. Great Mountain Viewโs. Impressive snack lounge with breakfast material (free). Nice touch was fire starter . Wood and sโmore material so we could have a fire outside. โ
โSouth Shire is a beautiful place filled with history and character. The staff were wonderful; kind and attentive. They were welcoming to us and our pup throughout the stay. We were very happy with the quality of the mattress and linens as well as the ac being nice and cold on a very hot day (not always things you find in an older bed and breakfast.) We would absolutely stay here again. โ
โRoom was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Building was quiet. Wifi was fast and stable. Very relaxing environment. I would definitely come back to see what future improvements are made to the property as I was told by the front desk staff that they're making a constant effort to upgrade the facilities.โ
โThe only decent thing was that it was clean. Broken doors, broken remote, broken lamp, was frightening pulling in with people that seemed to be just hanging out. Maybe they lived there in a room. All kinds of what appeared to be junk all around run down buildings. โ
โWhat a nice, vintage place - yet very clean and not shabby at all! I enjoyed sitting on the porch. A breakfast place is nearby. I thought being so old, there would be thin walls, but it was so quiet! The bed was comfy and the shower was so great, I took a picture of the shower head to get for home. I would definitely stay here again if in this part of Vermont. โ
โI love that the hotel is dog friendly and have bikes and scooters available for guests. The room was comfortable and clean, nicely furnished. Staff was outstanding โ
โCozy cottage. Very clean and everything you need is there. Nice kitchen and fireplace. Lots of room and 3 bathrooms as well. Reasonably close to the ski mountains. โ
