“I saw a sign when I checked in on the counter. It said 8/10. I think this is about right. It is summer time, so you are going to get bugs in the room. Also, the toilet sang all night. That is, it was noisy. Other than that, it was a pretty good stay.”

“A beautiful spot in a lush park. The building is charming and the room was clean. Unfortunately, the front desk staff were so unfriendly--kept us waiting for 5 minutes even though no one else was there, did not make eye contact or smile or apologize for the wait--that this inhospitality marred the visit.”

“Stayed one day after a trip to Michigan Lake view room with jacuzzi ! Clean room, pool was warm and clean was a perfect stop to recharge! Small antique hotel! We be back”

“It was a delight to stay there. The room was beautiful and the bed very cozy that I didn’t want to get up next morning!! It was clean and it had everything we needed! Thank you!”

“The staff at the hotel was excellent. The room had a horrible musty smell and the carpets left our socks black! You could hear every movement of the people upstairs and I don’t think they slept at all! Breakfast was disappointing. Waffles were okay and there was toast, but the eggs and sausage both looked disgusting. There was no fruit, yogurt or muffins etc. I would be hard pressed to stay here again.”

“We found bed bugs in our room, the bathroom was filthy. The older gentleman that checked us in was kind and helpful, the man that checked us out was not. One of the staff was also playing with a tennis ball in the parking lot and loitering around, he ended up hitting our car with the ball. We checked out early and were not able to get a refund.”

“Did not meet our expectations, for the price expected much more. I would not recommend the Michigan city area for anybody to take a vacation.”
