"My husband and I had a wonderful time at the quaint lake Shasta lodge. Our dog loved running around the grassy area at the end of the property. After spending our days hiking, we relaxed with drinks and food at the friendly Klub Klondike next door (which has a dog friendly patio)."

"I imagine that the concept for this resort is "upscale motel". Honestly, that's what it is. Taking the old motel concept, giving it a huge make over, re-marketing it as a resort. "There was a loud fight in our hallway on the last night that we stayed, the front desk person was fast to respond but it was very unsettling. Window’s don’t seal properly so there was a lot of noise pollution from outside. Otherwise, we very much enjoyed our stay! Great location with walkable food ..."

May 18, 2019We live in Redding and wanted a place away from home to spend our Anniversary. We went on in to Dunsmuir the next day and had breakfast at Penny's Diner. Highly recommend the restaurant, very retro, and good food.
