River front view, parking, good breakfast options. Like most Douro places you stay at, an auto is needed.

The only part that let down our stay was the food which was very disappointing. We had read the restaurant was the best in the area. On our first night the food was not up to standard and certainly was not cooked fresh and was extremely salty. The second night I ordered partridge served on mushroom risotto. The partridge was old dry and tasted like is was preserved in salt. It was awful and I had to send it back after the first mouthful. It was extremely disappointing to say the least. On our third night we ate in a restaurant in a nearby town. The only part that let down our stay was the very poor quality food being served. The staff and facilities are excellent. The location overlooking the Douro river is the best. We would stay again and not eat our evening meals at the hotel 👎

I spent a few days at this hotel during my trip to Portugal and it was truly unforgettable. The rooms were exceptionally clean, modern, and very comfortable. The view from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking. The bar was excellent (Hugo - thanks so much for great wine suggestions and amazing drinks!), and every meal at the restaurant was delicious (bravo to their chef, Joao!). Most importantly, every member of the hotel staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, which made the entire stay warm and relaxing. I want to highlight the restaurant crew: Joao, Hugo, Miguel and Maria and reception ladies! All of them are true professionals and amazing people! This hotel is officially rated as a four-star property, but in my opinion, it deserves five stars. My family and I would definitely love to come back!
