"This place was amazing! The staff were so very helpful and guided us with any questions that we had. The room was so clean and beautiful. The hotel was a very short walk to the train station which was a just perfect for us. It was also very near the public trams which was very helpful to get around. We loved our stay so much that we decided to stay another night. This has been our favorite hotel in our one month trip all over Europe. "

"Our stay at the Bären was fantastic. The staff is absolutely wonderful, friendly, accommodating. The Hotel and room is very clean. We were able to do early check in and our room had a little fridge and microwave, which was fantastic because we travelled with a toddler. They also put in a little bridge between the two single beds so we could all sleep in the big bed, no baby bed needed. The location is so close to all public transit and endless restaurants and shopping opportunities. It's very close to the parliament building. There is a public market on Saturday and Sunday everything is closed (shops, grocery stores) but restaurants/coffees are open. Overall a great location, quiet (if you get the courtyard rooms) and a very pleasant stay."

"Close to the station, easy access to Bern and therefore a lot of train routes for easy travel (if you have the Swiss travel pass). Apartment had utensils needed for cooking which helped save money as food can be expensive in Swizerlabd"

"First I must say this was not my first choice. I usually book the 'day of' when I arrive in a city, but this time, there was nothing reasonably priced so I found this place. I was at first a bit disappointed that I was not in the city center BUT it turns out it was a 4 stop bus ride which was about 6 minutes to get to the main train station. Please note that I am not faulting this hotel, just giving the whole picture. I arrived at the hotel only to find it was jazz themed which made me feel all warm and fuzzy. This was so cool. My room was cozy and had a Nespresso machine which made some good coffee compared to the stuff we get back in the USA. I ate dinner there once and had two breakfasts, both I thought were worth the price. The WIFI was great too. Now that you have the full picture, I will say this was a blessing in disguise and I'm more than happy I stayed here and would definitely return. The front desk was overly helpful when I had mentioned I was looking for a few things and directed me where I may find them. I only gave 4 stars for 'area around the property' as honestly there was nothing around there to do, but it was super quiet and I could see the stars at night. This place does have AC which was great as I was in Bern during a heatwave.."
