This is a very affordable place. The rooms are basic but clean with air conditioner. Bathrooms are assigned to each room but not internal. Staff are great and so is the resident dog.

I really enjoyed my stay at Tubotel, as far as low-cost hostel stays go it was an exceptionally comfortable stay. Booking a private room was really a good choice. I booked the private partial sea-view and really appreciated that I did. Even so the area is so easy to move around and the patio is right on the ocean so you have great views no matter what. The staff were helpful and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was great! Definitely recommend the chicken burgers. For a single smaller negative, it was quite difficult to get to the main beaches from there without taking a taxi. Though they are very affordable and quick to arrive.

Inget hotell och inte ens ett rum utan en tub att krypa in i en säng. Finns ingenstans att uppehålla sig mer än i sängen och utan toalett som är gemsamma för hela anläggningen. Backpackerställe som överhuvudtaget inte bör anges som hotell och än mindre med stjärnor.

Need maintenance

It use to be a nice and cost place but now it's a bit run down with no maintenance done for some of the cubicles. We was allocated one with termites.

The properties not as pictures e.g. there's no daybed. Alex the boss is arrogant. He even scolded the staff in front of guests. Toilets are old and rusty. Location: quite far from the beach and town. You may need your own transport unless you prefer just being stucked there.

Close to hotel RM10 from airport. Bed is good for one pax as u can spread ur luggage n stuff on bed. Toilet n shower block is clean w hot shower water n shower cream provided. There is a restaurant behind Tubotel for an easy dinner.

Decent low cost accommodations

Its not bad for a cheap hostel type of accommodation. The single room is just the size of a queen bed but the sheets were clean and environment quiet and I slept well in it. Although the wifi does work it was very slow and subpar and only in the common area. This is the most important thing to me that I would recommend management address. Make the wifi connection easy and get the speed up to normal quick speeds and eliminate dropout periods.

Tubotel, Langkawi

Vi bodde på Tubotel 2 nätter, som stop mellan Singapore och Koh Lipe. Sängen tar upp hela tuben så är ganska trångt, men det hade vi räknat med. Mysigt ställe med trevlig personal! Perfekt för backpackers som vill övernatta en eller ett par nätter. Det negativa med tubotel är läget, tar ca 30 min att gå till "stan" med butiker, restauranger osv. Finns dock en taxihållplats 100m bort. Kostade 30-40kr. Personalen var jättetrevlig och hjälpsam! Glatt positiva när vi åkte vidare!

The terrace and view is really good. Amazing sunsets! Staff is really nice and helpful Toilets and dorm could be cleaner but over all I had a good stay. Location is bit far from main beach but the place is peacfull.

Nett und mal was anderes, für max. 1-2 Nächte

Wir sind einer Empfehlung gefolgt, das Tubotel ist definitiv eine Nacht, oder auch 2 wert. Mit unseren 5 Nächten war es einfach zu lang und langweilig. Nicht falsch verstehen, wir wollten kein Party Hostel, und das ist das Tubotel auch nicht, sondern ein entspanntes, witziges Hostel/Hotel mit außergewöhnlichen Schlafmöglichkeiten in den "Tubes". Das Frühstück ist generell gut, man kann zwischen 4-5 Sachen wählen (Pancakes, Frittata, Müsli/Joghurt, Spiegeleier - die leider grundsätzlich noch roh waren) und leider nur einem aus 3 Getränken. Aber man sollte wissen, dass es keinen Strandzugang gibt, alles andere am Cenang Beach nur durch einen 30 Minuten Spaziergang zu erreichen ist und der Flughafen genau daneben liegt. Im Tubotel selber kann aktuell nichts gebucht (z. B. Touren) oder gemietet (Roller etc.) werden, weil das Personal nicht zertifiziert ist. Das WLAN (nur im öffentlichen Bereich) ist leider sehr schlecht gewesen.

幾乎沒有華人點評，我就來說說吧！ 旅店面海，如果沒住海景房，真的就是背包客的旅店，但不同的是，公共空間非常戶外，對外交通不太方便，除了放鬆，就是放鬆，老外很多，大多是背包客，若想舒適乾淨，個人隱私的旅客，這裡真不是好選擇，但若想放空愜意，這真的很不錯

Hat leider nicht dem entsprochen was wir uns erwartet hatten. Ansich ist das eine coole Idee sollte aber mal wieder etwas hergerichtet werden. Leider ist dort auch nicht viel los sodass wir uns nur selten dort aufgehalten haben. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Quirky, fun place but pricey for what you get

Great view of the water, but there's no swimming. Playful and quirky hotel that is more suitable for younger people than seasoned travelers. Menu was limited to just pizza. Each tube was only big enough for a bed. Shared bathrooms and showers were not even coed, just one for all.

Original but far from beach

Despise this original and funky (in a good way) hotel been next to the ocean, the actual beach is a good 20 minutes away due to a creek and rocks. Nice staff. Horrible internet. Breakfast was a nice surprise having several options but sadly none was very well cook. Planes constantly fly above all day long. Good for a short stay and to take a few pictures inside a huge concrete pipe!

Hele fijne plek, waar je leuke backpackers kan ontmoeten. Tubes zijn heel klein, past alleen een 2p bed in. Ontbijt was top. Enige nadeel is dat er maar 1 restaurant op loopafstand zit van het tubotel.
