“All staff I encountered where exceptionally friendly and helpful with good knowledge of local area. Lovely choices of full hot and cold buffet breakfast. Fantastic evening meals in the restaurant, though limited choice if staying more than two nights. Amazing location just a few hundred yards from the Cathedral and Castle at a reasonable price. Very clean comfortable room overlooking the Cathedral with everything you need. Best sleep ever! Definitely returning.”

A lovely setting, the pub was great with a huge beer garden and play area and the hotel was lovely and clean and VERY quiet - we didnt hear other people inside or out on any of the 3 nights we stayed. Beer garden was right outside our window and very busy with families and kids playing football but could not hear a peep in the room. “We stayed as we are renovating after a house move and the plasterer had taken over the house. It was a welcome break from the daily work of clearing up after tradesmen! The staff were lovely and the food good. We may be back - depending on how things progress at home!”

“Fantastic little stay at this place. You can really see that they have put some thought into how they do things to make yiur stay enjoyable.
The bed was comfortable with fresh and clean bedsheets, the bathroom was clean with clean towels. The continental breakfast thatnis left in the room is a great odea. Simply pick up what you want, take it down to the dining area/kitchen area and prepare.
