โThe location is perfect and the staff is wonderful. The hotel is just off a main street, so it is quiet at the hotel but you are close to many restaurant, cafes, and bars. You can book tours and airport transport at the front desk.โ
โWhen you arrive in Java villa boutique hotel, you fell like in a little heaven, it looks gorgeous & relaxing inside with the pool, the plants and the whole reception & common area. It is located in a super nice area, close to restaurants and small shop and close enough from marlioboro. Staff is really nice as always in Indonesia. I absolutely recommend the place ! โ
โReally good service and presentation but there were lots of aunts in the bathroom. Lots of dust...and there is no sound proof as you can't close the bathroom window which is connected to outside. You can hear every sound from people at the hotel.โ
โi stayed here for 5 nights. all the staffs are kind and nice. i really appreciate their service. as the street is full of pub, resto, cafe, souvnior shop and massage shop i satisfied with its location. but if you are sensitive, it might noisy in weekends night since there are some live band performances in several pub.โ

Breakfast should be improved.
A bit away from Malioboro but I would stay again if I go to Yogyakarta.
The room condition is far better than the hotels in Malioboro with this priceโ
โBeautiful and interesting home with different areas and a little courtyard inside. Carvings and tiles. They had an old radio, record player etc. wonderful if you want to see an old Kotagede type house from the inside. There's a bookshop attached to the house and it has a good selection of books, including Indonesian books translates into English, a section on Javanese culture, and political books like Gramsci etc.
Location is good near lots of nice restaurants, walkable to the Mataram makams,...
โI stayed in Yogucarta to see temples Borobudur and Prambanan. This hotel offers reasonable stay for the money. If you're going out please be advised that traffic in the city can be very bad especially in the evening. Also be prepared to hear loudspeakers from nearby mosques (I heard them only the first night, the second was ok).โ
