โWe were in the yellow side building. Our room was very small. The bathroom was tiny and had the smallest sink I have ever seen in my life- slightly larger than my hand- hard to wash your face. Hotel is right across from Godafoss waterfall- not in the town area of Laugar. Paid extra for breakfast and it was very nice- even had a choose your own espresso machine. Dated decor. Shower very slippery but so small chances are good you wonโt fall.โ
โThis is a nice property! Very clean and quiet. We stayed in the guesthouse that was down the road from the property. It has a spacious kitchen, dining and living room which is nice. Rooms were comfortable. Bathrooms very clean. They have a restaurant in n the property which is nice. Breakfast is as included. We enjoyed the breakfast. โIt was amazing! If you love the solitude thatโs the place to stay. We had a clear night without any wind and the sky was full of northern lights. And the best part, no other people around (well, except the hosts, horses, chicken and ducks from the lake in front of our little cottage). Only 20 min away from Godafoss, or 25 min away from Hรบsavรญk. Definitely recommend this one! The host was very nice and welcomed us warmly. โ
"The hotel is a bit dated, but overall itโs a cozy place to stay โ especially given the great location right by Lake Mรฝvatn.
Donโt expect warm smiles at the reception; the front desk staff were rather expressionless. That said, the restaurant and bar staff were more pleasant and helpful.
If youโre traveling around Iceland, itโs best not to expect typical hotel service as youโd find elsewhere.
