"Clean Hotel but very, very tired. Hotel were excellent 5 star + Food average Terrific view of Cathedral and in an excellent location for tourist. Not very disabled friendly."

"Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had everything we needed - we asked for more green tea at reception which was supplied immediately. Parking - we were very pleased we arrived early on the day (around 10 am) and were able to leave the car in the car park then even though we obviously couldn’t check in. Spaces were at a premium and as we had functions to attend all day that were walkable it was great to have the car secure and not have to worry about getting a space later on. Bed was comfortable but the aircon went off in the middle of the night which was a bit annoying as we got very hot. Breakfast was in a nice airy room with a view of the waterfront. Lots of choice - cooked, pastries, toast, cereal, fruit. Cooked items were not quite as hot as I’d like but cappuccino from coffee machine was delicious. Pleasant staff - shout out for the young lady who had recently broken her jaw - very sweet and friendly. All in all, impressed with hotel and would definitely look to stay with Doubletree Hilton on future travels."

"Upon arrival I was shown to room stinking of sewage- Then moved to another ok room. Took a 5m shower and found the floor flooded all the way to carpet. Used all towels to stem the flow and was then upgraded to a goods room with a not so good view. More modern.”, less stinky, no drain issues. Enjoyed it- went to extend my stay 1 night and was told price was 175pounds? I paid 96$ for previous night thru Expedia Had to book a room 20m away, hire a car, and that was not good hospitality. They were kind, but maybe treated furry friends better than those with 2 legs and $/lbs!"

"Could not find our way in to park because of road closures but front office guiding us on the phone! Thanks!! Excellent drinks and knowledgeable bartenders. Visiting from the States but lived in Lincolnshire it was so refreshing to enjoy this beautiful hotel! Thankyou for an amazing experience!"

"Well stocked bar. Have used the parking on previous stays and it is a great addition in Lincoln. Stayed in one of the cottages this time. Superbly equipped, clean, tidy and great facilities. All basics supplied… tea, coffee, sugar, milk, jug of water and milk in the fridge and complementary biscuits. Fully equipped kitchen if you don’t want to eat out. Would highly recommend this for a family or group of friends."

"The location of the hotel is perfect , literally on the doorstep of Lincoln Cathedral and the castle. Parking is opposite to the hotel - although it is a public car park and a fee charged by meter upto 24hour parking available. The hotel itself is lovely, well presented and very clean. The restaurant area is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. I really thought the breakfast was outstanding and very tasty with a large selection on the menu. The staff were lovely and very accommodating . I would highly recommend . Please note however there was no lift and the stairs could cause inconvenience to some guests. "

"Easy parking on NCP car park behind the property. Convenient location, comfortable bed and good facilities in room. Quiet location. Had some issues getting my entry code, the links in the email didn’t work so I had to ring up. The customer service person helped me but couldn’t get the email to resend and he just had to tell me the room number and check in code. These worked perfectly when I arrived and there were no issues. Kettle, tea, coffee, milk portions and biscuits provided, fridge was clean. Microwave worked fine, I made a porridge sachet with milk I brought myself. Could do with providing a tea towel to dry dishes after use. There were no teaspoons. Sliding bathroom door got stuck and I was trapped in there for 10 minutes till I could wiggle a big enough gap to get my fingers in to slightly lift and change the angle so it would open- needs attention. Despite minor niggles I would stay there again (it’s my 2nd visit) as the price and location are good and it was a comfortable room. "

"The place, location and room were lovely - however the property does not have parking facilities!! And this was why I booked it. Due to an event I couldn’t buy the required ticket and now had to argue a ticket after staying g up and waiting for the parking to activate again. The parking arrangement should be made much clearer"
