โThe Manoir is a charming, rustic property. A warm and friendly welcome from Marie. Te property is a couple of kilometres from the nearest village so peace & isolation is guaranteed.
A refreshing dip in the pool on arrival was very welcome. Marieโs home cooking for the evening meal was lovely with a great selection of wines.
The room was on the top floor. Good, comfortable bed and a large bathroom with a great walk in shower.โ
โHaving read some scary reviews, we were a little worried - but it was not at all Fawlty Towers. The building itself is magnificent - it's definitely the tallest room I've ever slept in. The roses in the walkway - such a scent. The gardens have a well-tended, shabby-chic feel where you can see the grandeur of the original planting being colonised by nature. โWe had an amazing experience in our stay at Chรขteau Picol. It is very beautiful, very well maintained and decorated with amazing antiques and art. In addition you will be hosted by Christian, very kind and gently owner that will tell nice histories about the castle. Even arriving so late, they prepare us a delicious dining with a local AOC wine. โ
