good location, friendly stuff, hotel is outdated

The friendliness of the staff is so and so. We have a wonderful experience with the breakfast service and a mediocre with the evening service. The hotel is located in a very nice area. Unfortunately the access to the lake is not the best. But this hotel is the perfect spot to start some day trips. One can clearly see that this hotel is not state of the art anymore. Although it is clean, it is really outdated. Side note - The walls seem to be pretty thin. You will hear every single person and especially suitcase passing by.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel, am Anfang etwas verwirrend aufgebaut, aber man findet sich schnell zurecht. Seltsam ist, dass man zu den Zimmern nur 1 Stockwerk mit dem Aufzug fahren kann und den Rest muss man Treppe laufen, was sehr unpraktisch ist mit Koffern. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber, allerdings wären bei den Balkontüren Fliegengitter sinnvoll, da das Hotel recht naturnah ist und nachts beim Lüften die Insekten rein kommen. Frühstücksbuffet und Abendkarte sind sehr empfehlenswert, preislich für die Gegend voll in Ordnung. Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe vom Sylvensteinsee wo man etwa 10 min am Straßenrand läuft oder mit Glück nen Parkplatz bekommt. Ansonsten ist nicht viel in der Umgebung. Wir hatten es eigentlich gebucht, weil man nur eine halbe Stunde zum Walchensee braucht, jedoch sind wir tatsächlich eine Stunde Serpentinen gefahren. Auf dem Rückweg haben wir dann festgestellt, dass die 30min Strecke eine Mautstraße ist, das haben wir uns dann nicht getraut zu fahren. Alles in allem ein schönes Hotel wenn man entspannen will.

Sehr nettes Hotel mit allem was man braucht wenn man in die Berge zum wandern möchte. Essen, sowohl Frühstück als auch Abendessen, hervorragend. Biergarten ist super lauschig. Personal sehr nett. Sauna eher klein, aber ausreichend. Umgebung einfach schön, mitten in der Natur. Parkplätze auch ausreichend vorhanden.

Das Hotel ist sichtbar in die Jahre gekommen. Die recht großen Zimmer mit Balkon verfügen weder über einen Kühlschrank, noch über einen Wasserkocher, Verdunkelungsvorhänge oder AC. Das Bad ist veraltet, Der TV steht auf einem Brett, es besteht Stoßgefahr. Die Betten sind zu niedrig und die Matratzen zu weich. Koffer müssen einen Stock getragen werden. Frühstück war jedoch hervorragend, der Biergarten auch.

Amazing location and best brea9

The locatiin itself is great with amazing sightseeing locations within walking distance. The breakfast is one of the best I have tried in Germany. I am definitely coming back to try the nearby slopes when the winter brings in snow

Perfekt stop på vej sydpå

Smukt beliggende og venlig service. Værelset var rent og absolut i orden, maden ok, uden at være noget specielt. Det var ekstremt varmt, så vi kunne godt have brugt både køleskab og aircon på værelset, men det er nok kun få dage om året, at det er nødvendigt. Alt i alt et rigtig godt sted at stoppe på vej til Italien

Sehr gute Lage am Sylvensteinsee

Der Empfang war sehr freundlich, unser Zimmer ruhig gelegen, WLAN und TV-Empfang waren gut. Was uns nicht gefiel: Man wird im Frühstücksraum plaziert - wie und wo hätte ruhig beim Check-in erwähnt werden können, so dass man nicht durch alle Räume irren muss auf der Suche nach 'seinem' Platz. Auch ist die Suche nach dem Kaffee nicht einfach, denn der steht auf einem Servierwagen, als wäre es benutztes Geschirr ... Als Ei-Esser hatte man eine sehr gute Auswahl zwischen 3 Zubereitungsarten. Für einen Käse- oder Wurstesser war die Auswahl sehr gering. Auch nicht richtig rund lief das Auschecken: zuerst wird man gefragt, ob man über ein Buchungsportal gebucht hat, dann wird versucht, nochmals den Zimmerpreis in Rechnung zu stellen, und nachdem das alles geklärt werden konnte, gab es kein 'Auf Wiedersehen' oder 'gute Reise', wie bei den vor uns ausgecheckten Gästen. Kein guter Ausklang.

I got to this hotel and first day out could not come back due to snow. When I got there I clearly told them how could I pay and not stay? I requested to change location and they said there is no problem if Orbitz could call them. Right away I got on the phone with Orbitz and the rep asked for their number and call them. They said the person in charged was not around but she should come back anytime soon... I proposed to wait around but they all said no problem no need to wait around because she will handle it directly with Orbitz. A week later they tried telling me whether I stayed or not they won’t refund me. This is call stealing and I will make sure I get my money back and this type of useless property should not be put on Orbitz or other hotel sites...
