"I enjoyed my experience with the buidling location, staff, and the available amenities. The staff was very kind and informative with guests. They also had snorkel gear, beach chair, pool noodle, and beach umbrella rentals available free of charge. That was a nice perk as I was unable to pack a beach chair and it was nice not having to sit in the hot sand all day. They also had two microfiber beach towels included for use with the room.
The parking lot was a small gravel lot down an alley in the back of the building with only about 8 spaces available. After 8pm the lot filled up, but I was able to find a spot each night. My room was tidy and very practical, especially for only one traveler.
I stayed in the Deluxe Studio and did not like the location of my room. It only had access directly in the lobby. It was very loud in the evening and especially in the morning with people arriving or departing, there was also a microwave in the lobby that people kept slamming shut. With the location of this room practically in the lobby it did not feel very private and I was a female traveling alone, very concerned that people might try to access my room based on it being in the lobby and not marked well. The room also had a skylight that did not have any coverage available, so the morning light shone in bright and early.
I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again, as long and I did not have a room in the lobby."
"Would not recommend this property. Staff is rude, old rooms with an odd smell, charge extra $25 for parking and $25 resort fees, which is nowhere mentioned. Other nearby hotels are much better with a better view and amenities."
"Had an amazing view of the pool and ocean. Room was nice. Some minor maintenance issues. Restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was amazing. I definitely recommend the Polynesian French Toast. Hotel was undergoing remodeling."
"Castle Kaha Lani was the perfect place for us. We had ages ranging from 14 to 85 years old. I was worried about the steps up to the 2nd floor but my 85 year old mother did great using her cane. I saw in the reviews before we stayed that some of the units needed updating, so we kind of expected ours might be one of those. And it was, but it was still super great, comfy beds, ocean view from living room and balcony, trade winds kept the unit cool, though the fans in the bedrooms came in very handy. Castle Lani was amazing for us!! Would definitely recommend!"
"This is our second stay at this property and it is as beautiful as I remembered it. We were quite relaxed as soon as we checked in. We were in a studio with a Murphy bed but it wasn’t too bad as we were out most of the day. Our next door neighbors were quite noisy and we alerted the Front Desk and it was remedied quickly by putting up a sound barrier between the connecting doors.
We forgot to unplug and take home our Roku stick which did not dawn on us until we returned home. Kudos to Matt in Security who took the time to retrieve it. It is honest and hard working staff like Matt that makes a place worth visiting."
