Check-in was easy enough when they eventually found my booking. Room was small but adequate. Bathroom was tiny but everything was clean and will presented. Good hearing system and the shutters were great for blacking out light. The area was generally pretty quiet apart from a couple of brew crew members who sat nearby at times, but presented no trouble. Proximity to Gambetta station is amazing; a mere 30 steps or so away from the hotel. Staff were pleasant, very amenable and humoured our Franglais, although I have to say it quite often just slipped into English.

We arrived in the evening a lot of migrants around the hotel and a lot of graffiti on buildings. We went out for a meal but not a lot of choice. Hotel very basic but clean and safe. Next morning totally different still migrants around but a lot of locals going to work and school large Market nearby and Metro next to hotel which was very easy to use hotel car park under ground and Staff were excellent

Nice hotel on the outskirts of town

The room was basic but suited us well. The staff were friendly, with excellent English and the room was cleaned daily to a high standard. The hotel is right next to the Metro station, the only downside to this being you can hear the escalator constantly from the room above, though we did get used to it. The market is right on the doorstep on a Sunday (and I think a Thursday), so was lovely for a walk around. It is about a 30 minute walk to the centre and less than 5 mins to lots of restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

Central Location

This is a basic hotel which will meet most needs for a short stay in the city. Very close to the metro and walking distance to many of the sites.

The staff were great and the hotel was good. The parking is in a secure underground location but access to it is very limited if like us, your vehicle has low ground clearance - I now need a new front lower valance. Also the little square outside seems to be frequented by local undesirables - we were greeted by them having a fight which included throwing bottles at each other as well as fists. Although not strictly the hotels fault or responsibility but cctv or other security measures may help.

Chambres franchement limite et à rafraichir. Douche très petite. Serviettes hors d'âge. Plusieurs chambres dont le radiateur était HS et donc chauffage exclusivement via la clim (bruyant et pas efficace). Chambre globalement propre mais je n'aurais pas dû regarder sous le matelas : il a dû être trainé par terre, plein de particules de je ne sais quelle matière, plus des tâches franchement dégueux.
