"The outside of the hotel looks older than inside. We had a beautiful room and had a great stay on Davis beach with a grey whale visiting every day that we were there. Hope to come back for sure. Only negative was the garbage smell in the parking lot"

"We liked that this property was right beside the ferry in Powell River. The view from our room was fantastic. The room was extremely quiet considering huge ferries came and went while we were sleeping. We always found parking in their lot. Sibo, the young woman who greeted us was just wonderful, warm and so welcoming. She answered all our questions and rushed to do anything she could for us. She's perfect for being a good hostess. Since we are elderly we asked for a room without stairs (there are a lot of stairs and no elevator in this hotel) and we were given one on the ground floor. It was very small which didn't bother us in the least because it was exceptionally clean and updated. Our biggest problem was that there was a king-sized bed in a queen-sized room. I only had about 8" of width to get down my side of the bed and I couldn't crawl up onto the bed on my knees. We managed, though, and were very comfortable. Apparently the hotel was recently updated and it's very modern inside."

"The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable and cozy. The location of the hotel is ideal as it’s quiet and not right along one of the main roads in town. While there are a few parking spots right beside the hotel, there is also a larger lot right across the street."

"would recommend staying here. room was clean, bed was comfortable bed and pillows good. there was a microwave and small fridge in the room which was very nice to have also a coffee maker and kettle. very nice view of the inlet, wharf and boats. staff very friendly. thank you!"

"Pros: Kids loved the outdoor pool and hot tub! The pool is slightly heated; not super warm but a good swimming temp. The kids loved getting colouring sheets and crayons on arrival too. Great location and very friendly front desk employees. Nice to be able to walk next door to Cedars for dinner, or grab a few munchies from the front desk in the evening. We enjoyed sitting on the huge deck in the evenings, having a BBQ, and walking down to the beach. We shall be back. Minor cons: Some of the info in the emails etc. is probably a little outdated, e.g. all rooms do actually have aircon, and you can't order some things to the room for your arrival like sand toys. The kids found the sofa bed a little uncomfy (creaky) and aircon/fridge very noisy."
