“This was such a cute little apartment. It is attached to the Milecastle Pub, which has very delicious food. A portion of Hadrian’s Wall is within walking distance. I would definitely recommend.”

“This is a beautifully appointed shepherd's hut on the edge of a pretty and quiet village in the North Pennines. Lots of walking routes nearby and just a few miles from Appleby-in-Westmoreland. We enjoyed our stay very much though were disappointed that the internet signal was so poor. The TV would not stream smoothly so not worth having it there at the moment. Still, this was a small sacrifice for the pleasure of experiencing tiny living life for a few days. Everything else worked really...

“I arrived just after 8pm and was personally and kindly welcomed to The Old School House. After a long day’s walk, I was offered a drink, which was much appreciated. My bags were taken to my room, and I was given a tour of the property.Breakfast was homely and delicious, and I enjoyed meeting some lovely fellow guests. The place was immaculate, and the hosts were absolutely charming.I would definitely stay again and it was just what I needed after a 30-mile walk! ”

“The first room we checked into was next to an internal door which kept being slammed by noisy guests. We were moved to another room by a lovely and helpful member of staff without any hesitation. The second room was an upgrade from the first one and was in a much quieter part of the hotel so we are very appreciative of that.
