โI stayed at Barefoot Contessa in mid-June 2025. I was holidaying as a solo traveller which I have only done a few times before and so was very anxious leading up to the trip. I neednโt have worried as I had an amazing week. Rooms are basic but comfortable - which is reflected in the star rating/room rate, they are spotlessly cleaned everyday and have everything you need including air conditioning (included in the price).

โWe thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sami Beach Hotel. Weโd booked 3 nights at the hotel but ended up staying for 10 nights as we were massively let down by the villa owner on the day of arrival in Kefalonia (weโd booked 5 months prior). โBeautifully decorated apartment in a quiet and pleasant neighbourhood opposite the waterfront. Good cafe and restaurant very close by and also kids playground. The Melissani cave is a few mins walk away.
The suites are very clean and at a high standard, there is a pool which is nice and the sea across from the apartment is stunningly clear with lots of fish and sponges. If you like to snorkel there are fresh water springs emerging from a cave just off the beach and itโs magical to snorkel there...

โThe owner was very helpful and friendly. The apartment was situated on the main road of Lassi so easy for walking to the shops and restaurants . It has access to a beach and bar down a track and also a short walk from the main beach in Lassi. We had a fantastic stay for a week and will return again without a doubt. โ
