I recently stayed at Villa Galega and had a truly enjoyable experience. The villa is beautifully maintained, with a peaceful atmosphere that made it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The interior was clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, with all the amenities we needed—from a fully equipped kitchen to comfortable beds and a great living area. The location was convenient—close enough to shops, restaurants, and local attractions, but tucked away just enough to feel quiet and secluded. The host was responsive and friendly, offering helpful local tips and ensuring our stay went smoothly. Overall, Villa Galega was a fantastic place to stay, and I would definitely return or recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic vacation spot.

Alexandra is a perfect host. Amazing what they did with this old building to turn it in a wonderful cosy hotel. Great access to the beach and center of Santa Cruz. The best: coming back at end of day and take a dip in the heated pool to relax before going to sleep. Wish we had stayed longer!

The villa is so lovely, looking both cozy and boutique. The heated pool was a great add-on at the end of a hot day at the beach. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome. A few things I felt could be improved: the lack of beach towels (this surprised me and I wasn't prepared for it, as I've received beach towels at all stays in Portugal); general lack of towels (there are 2 towels provided per person and they are VERY small); the breakfast choices (the breakfast felt a bit "lacking" compared to all other villas/hotels I visited in Portugal, and I personally didn't have much choice there and ate breakfast outside); Also, another detail that made me feel uncomfortable was the one of the ladies working there was ill one of the days, and was helping around the kitchen coughing. I really did not feel at ease with that situation at all, as I really would not want to catch a virus on a holiday!
