"Cosy cottage - perfect for two and a dog. The cottage sits on its own, and has a secure gated driveway, but the added convenience of being just off the main road into Criccieth and Pwllheli, and with a mile walk to the beach. Well equipped in the main, though take your own loo rolls! Booked through Hotels.com but actually through Sykes Cottages, who offered great service on the phone. "Good hotel, helpfull staff, plenty of parking. Free room upgrade. Downside buffet breakfast which is served from 7am lets down the hotel. Menu says hot breakfast, food barely luke warm at best. You could tell the sausages and hash browns had been reheated and reheated. No choice apart from english breakfast or cold selection. Would have been good to have waiter service at table and choice ie eggs benedict, smoked salmon etc. Perhaps hotel can take these comments on board which otherwise somewhat enjoyable holiday."

"We stayed 3 nights at this hotel in June. The room and bathroom were bigger than we expected for a gastro type pub and nicely decorated and appointed. Dined in the restaurant one night which was good. Breakfast which we decided to take on our last morning was a little chaotic, no glasses for OJ, coffee/tea station a bit of a mess. Fortunately the manager decided not to charge us for it when we checked out. Ultimately a great stay and good.location from.which to explore Anglesey ."

"We had a wonderful time at the Tilman. Check in was great, we were asked if we wanted a hand with our luggage despite the bar being full. The room, no 1, overlooked the road but the noise was negligible as there was secondary glazing. Bed very comfortable. Great shower and towels. Water and soft drink provided along with tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Breakfast was amazing. A great choice of cooked options and cereals, yoghurts, pastries etc. We found the ingredients of very good quality. We had one dinner, burger and chips which, again, was super tasty. Purple Moose IPA can be recommended. Parking was just around the corner in a private car park. Very helpful. Last, but by no means least, the staff were super friendly and engaging. We felt very welcome. Thank you all. We had a great time."

"The hotel is in a lovely location in the centre of Criccieth. An easy walk to both the castle and the David Lloyd George museum, home and grave. We had no trouble finding a parking slot in their free car park. Very comfortable bed. Best chips ever with our evening meal! Good hot and cold buffet breakfast, with toast made to order. Staff were all welcoming and helpful. It took us while to find room 37. Followed signs up and down a long corridor and finally found it on another level, through fire doors and down a few steps! I'd have no hesitation staying at The Lion again."
