Staff were excellent, very friendly. Building is just super old and in desperate need of an overhaul. Showerhead was so low i had to bend down in awkward ways to get clean. They have the hardest beds and pillows ive ever experienced. The carpets didnt seem like theyve had a proper cleaning in some time. All in all, its a serviceable place to sleep, as long as you are not picky about your bedding, and a short walk to the Convention Center and many places to eat.

Stayed at this hotel, I liked that it’s super close to the Crypto arena, and lots of food nearby, grocery store etc. the staff was friendly. The room was as advertised. Nothing fancy or out of the ordinary but it had what I needed and for the price you won’t find anything cheaper that close. Very vintage building so that was cool.

The building is old and the rooms are basic, but it's super clean and the staff is very professional. I really love staying here and will probably choose this place over others during my next visit. It's very easy to get to the metro from here. The Indian restaurant on the first floor is pretty good, too.

The hotel isn't the cleanest, and the vibe does feel a bit… “creepy” — BUT it was perfect for how much I paid. Even more, the folks at the desk were cool, restaurant in the lobby is some of the best Indian food you'll find in LA, and there's a Whole Foods across the street if you need anything for your stay. It's a great budget hotel if you're already planning to spend a ton of money elsewhere during your stay in LA. I'll definitely be back!

Obviously, an older hotel, and the rooms reflect this. The staff were friendly, the bed were comfortable but only had two pillows which made it difficult to sleep with. I had to fold one of the pillows in half just to get enough height for my head. The TV reception kept breaking up. All in all if you need an inexpensive room to stay overnight in LA, the Stillwell is a fair choice, but bring an extra pillow or some form of neck support. Also bring your own shampoo and conditioner.

This place was pretty decent. It won't blow your socks off but it's super central to the downtown theatres and concert venues, as well as the museums and Disney Hall side of things. Rooms are dated but super clean. Shower wasn’t the best but that's every LA hotel it seems. Bed was super firm, but that could be considered an advantage. Also Richard Ramirez killed some people there so you get that little touch of the Cecil without the weird aftertaste. I'll definitely book there again..

I like how friendly and helpful staff at Stillwell. However, the only thing I didn't like about the hotel is yesterday, nobody came to clean up my room while I was gone, despite the fact that the door hanger reads "please make up this room". Other than that, I enjoyed my stay overall.

The rooms are nice and comfortable.. service was great! The gentleman in the front who helped us was very friendly..umm they don't have parking with the hotel stay so u have to pay separately.. and also the restrooms are very very small.
