I loved that this property was out of downtown Lucerne and it was a very nice walk on a path to Old Town. The Sunset Bar across the street was great for pizza, drinks and the view.
Located at a very beautiful lake view. Transportation is very convenient for all; buses stop in front of the hotel and go directly to the train station. Dining and drinks are available at the lakeshore.
The room was very nice clean and spacious had a great view of the lake we did have to ask for water each day and would have liked some decaf tea bags and more gluten free chose on the breakfast buffet most of the staff were very helpful and friendly it was great for the bus stop and for swimming in the lake as there are steps right across from the hotel
In terms of staff, one particular person wasn’t nice. Others were. It was surprising that there was no microwave. View was very nice of the balcony room. Bathroom sink design is not very good. Sink is low vs faucets are too high, right under a wooden shelf. Not very convenient. Soap dispenser is right above the wooden self. You have to squeeze it, which I think is not as hygenic. Overall, it was good.
Staff was wonderful and helpful, amenities did look alittle outdated but still quite decent. Location was lovely with a good view, quite an easy commute to town via bus.
beautiful location but we didn’t have the best room. very clean and comfortable. Not always guaranteed parking at hotel. Would recommend but request lake view.
Very helpful at reception. We needed an adapter and they gave us one.
Also very comfortable beds.

Liked: Staff & service
The setting and views from this hotel are absolutely stunning and were the highlight of our stay. The breakfast was also quite good, and we especially appreciated the excellent coffee machine each morning.
Unfortunately, the room itself was very basic and felt more like a 2 star experience than what we were expecting. We stayed during an unusually hot period in late August, and there is no air conditioning anywhere in the hotel. While the staff were polite, helpful, and did their best by providing fans, the fan offered very little relief from the heat.
As a result, sleep was difficult throughout our stay. The bedding, sheets and towels also felt lower quality than we would have expected, which only added to the discomfort.
While we genuinely appreciated the friendly staff and the spectacular location, the overall comfort level was not sufficient for us. We would not choose to stay here again.
This is located 15-18 minute bus ride from the train station. But it's away from busy downtown and have a beautiful view of the lake and mountain that makes the stay very relaxing. (i chose lake view)
The AC isn't too strong but there was a fan. The room was clean and the staff were nice. You can enjoy the lake view while having breakfast.

View of Lake Lucerne was amazing -great windows and balcony facing the lake. Free bus fare within Lucerne was very helpful. Breakfast was great. The door to the room stopped working (it did not lock) and was not repaired during our stay - communication with 3 different staff members about this issue was not very helpful.
The view from our room was outstanding and the room nice and clean. Unfortunately there was no laundry service. We had to take a bus or walk into town but this was not a problem as buses were free and there was a walking path along the lake into town which was beautiful
Amazing views, thought it was extremely hot without air conditioning. Toilet was seperate from the washroom sink, so it was a bit odd. I would say the balcony and view made the experience worth it and staff was very nice and polite.
We wouldn't stay here again, but the property has two big pluses - the view from our balcony was great and being right on the bus line into town was very helpful. However, the walls are extremely thin and it is a noisey hotel, the plugs are underneath the night stand and require you to get on the floor to plug into them, the towels/sheets were rough, the toilet is separated from the sink (it is in another room with the shower - a first for us), no room in sink area to place toiletries. Non-smoking hotel, but the balcony had ash trays.
We liked the lake view and sat on the balcony each day watching the ships and the swans. As far as the room was concerned there was no AC just a fan. The lights were difficult to manage. The bathroom and the toilet were dingy and the reading light on one side had fallen off. The coffee machine was welcome for me except housekeeping forgot to refill the box with coffee and milk and the night staff had to run around looking for them. The bus timetable on a display was very useful. Breakfast was extortionate and so we took the bus, using our visitor pass into Luzern to have coffee at Hisons.
