Great stay

Really enjoyed our stay. It's a very old building, so keep that in mind. The outdoor space is great and the sitting room is cozy. Breakfast was included and excellent.

Stayed for two nights. Pros: -On-site dining was very good. Prime Rib was great and breakfast the following morning was good. -Staff was very nice and helpful -Victorian Architecture was beautiful Cons: -Had third floor room. 3 flights of steps with luggage and every time returning to the room truly sucked. -Room was small and hot Outside hallway/sitting area was very nice, and cool (AC unit was in hallway but nothing in the room) -Cost of approximately $250US/night was way overpriced for the level of accommodations.

Beautiful and well maintained historic building. Lovely staff, delicious and elegant breakfast. Downside was our small, but cozy bedroom on the third floor with no elevator. Bathroom was so small that sink was in the bedroom. Overall we loved the two nights we spent at the Bluenose!

The main issue was a failing hvac system. Our room was consistently over 80degrees, even when the temperature was in the low seventies. The staff was sympathetic but failed to offer any solutions and my request to communicate with the owner was not addressed. My email to the manager was not returned. For a hotel that advertises air conditioning and is quite expensive I was extremely disappointed.
