“I cant recommend this hotel enough. It's family run with the warm friendiness this brings, but with spacious rooms, big fluffy white towels and very comfy bed. The buffet breakfast was brilliant, and their bistro setved delicious food. Plenty of parking, short distance to New Forest and woodland walk a short walk away. ”

“This place shone through because of the owners Carol and Chris. From the moment of check in Carol couldn’t do enough to welcome me and made such an effort at breakfast to accommodate my needs. My room was comfortable and warm and had everything I could need. A little fridge would have been a bonus but with such a fair price I’m definitely not complaining. The location was great too and I was at the beach in no time. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and would recommend to others. ”

“Located just feet from the Portsmouth Harbor train station, good restaurants (especially The Ship Anson) and the historic dockyard where you could spend several days touring the ships and museums. The beds were very comfortable and while there was no AC there was a fan which worked well with an open window to draw in the cool air. Breakfast was good, skip the “brown bread” tastes like saw dust. The room refresh was lacking, we had to request additional coffee, the waste basket was not emptied...

“The Prince Consort is a nice local pub which also has rooms for bed and breakfast. I enjoyed the full English breakfast, which included very good quality bacon and sausages and all the usual ingredients. The coffee was especially delicious. I was visiting for a family funeral which was catered for there too. The buffet for the wake was also very good.”

“A lovely, very well maintained inn with a restaurant and pub, within walking distance of the ferry terminal. First rate menu with daily specials including fresh seafood. Pub has local ales on hand-pull. Spotless clean rooms with daily maid service. Friendly and competent staff. Note that this establishment is located in a residential neighborhood, so no other stores nearby. ”
