Yes, you need transportation, but once there you can be as active for relaxed as you want. Perfect location for a walk in the Forest. We had a room overlooking the forest. Great view with wildlife walking by, very comfortable bed, lovely tea & coffee...New Forest shortbread was delicious. Very comfortable bed. Every was lovely from the check in to our departure and dinner on...
