The service and kindness of the staff was exceptional. The sink in my room was not working when I arrived and though it was well after 8pm, a technician came and fixed it right away. The location was also very convenient, close to shops and Vieux Lyon for a little exploration. I recommend this hotel and will definitely return.
Merci au personnel pour sa patience avec mon français!
Hotel in a great location for the old town attractions. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. On the downside, the shower was too compact and no door to retain the water from splashing on the floor. The breakfast offering appear to be limited, if you did not want the continental.
The hotel couldn't be more centrally located. The hotel is old in a stately way, yet modernized, clean and convenient. The staff are extremely professional, but there is no porter. The breakfast, while expensive, is exceptional, almost exquisite. The hotel is quiet and cool. The elevator is very small, and, there is no ice or microwave. Sparkling water is free!
The property is at a great location for the middle of Lyon. Great access to cafe's, bars, and shopping. Quick walk across the Saone to Old Lyon.
Restaurant located on site was very nice, we had the buffet. We were also able to store luggage and even use the bathroom as we walked around after checkout.
Highly recommend.
Good location and stylish hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Only negatives were some noise made from other guests at night. Would be happy to stay here again.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
Great location and well maintained. A big difference between the room quality and size. My carpet was grubby and warm and needed a renovation. Other rooms available are better
Restaurant staff have a poor attitude. Hotel staff try to be helpful. Be aware not much of a bar at the hotel and the area to sit in and relax with coffee or a drink often booked out for functions leaving guests no where to relax.
Clean- helpful staff; good location. Would recommend. They are part of a larger hospitality group. The globe didn’t have hot water when we were to check in, so they made arrangements for us to stay at another equally rated hotel in their group. They took care of all the transfer details for us. Both hotels are great. Le Phenix and The Globe & Cecil.
Easy and efficinet checking in and out.
Helpful and polite staff.
Nice and clean room.
Small hotel, cosy and with character.
Good breakfast.
Great location.
Will stay again if offers reasonable price.
Really nice location. Our room was much larger than I expected & the bathroom was large too
Staff was very friendly & helpful. Tons of shops and restaurants in the surrounding area.
The hotel has an excellent location, I cannot think of any better one.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, went out of their way to book a table for me at a highly recommended bouchon on a Saturday night when it was extremely busy. Also helped with other advice that I sought.
The hotel is very nice and very clean.
The room was spacious, bright, clean and pleasant to stay in even during the day, not only for spending the night.
However, I found the bed too soft and since I suffer with lower back pain, with each night I was struggling more and more with the back pain. I am not sure if the Hotel would have done something about it if I had mentioned it to them, but I did not.
And, secondly, I stayed there during the heatwave when it was necessary to run the air-conditioning unit in the room day and night. The hum of the fan, even though not loud, interfered with my sleep at night.
Would I recommend the Hotel to my friends and family? Yes, definitely, but with the above two caveats.
Would I stay again in the Hotel? Yes, but not during the heatwave and if I could discuss the need for much firmer bed with the Hotel management.
