"We stayed for two nights in a family room whilst visiting family in Preston. The Claremont was clean, warm, comfortable and great value. We were delayed due to a cancelled ferry and they very were accommodating about a late check-in. "

""Spotless room and a seriously comfortable bed I actually managed to sleep through the night without any noise from the street. It’s a perfect little base for exploring since everything is within walking distance, but it still feels tucked away and private. Great value for the price and the loyalty card is a nice touch for a return trip!""

"First impressions from the outside were not great as it really doesn’t look like the pictures and is very weathered. Staff were fantastic as was the breakfast. Room had everything we needed, however shower leaked below barrier onto floor and the soap trays were not very clean which was a bit off putting. Some of the furniture looked a bit worn but and the lack of a mini bar is a glaring omission as we had to go down for a bucket of ice twice. Other than that we did enjoy our stay although I do feel customers should get cheaper parking given the cost of the rooms."
"Suite we stayed in was very, very spacious, nicely decorated & very clean, but furnishings were quite worn. Loads of wardrobe & drawer space. Bathroom was huge & a bit dated, but again very clean. Can't comment much on the facilities, as we didn't have breakfast or use the bar & entertainment. However, would we stay again? Absolutely!"
"Other than the mattress being a bit softer than I like, this hotel and restaurant are very good. The food is varied and imaginative. The staff are very friendly, helpful and superbly organised."
"Amazing Hotel, Only a short one night stay. Lovely grounds and brilliant amenities especially the leisure/fitness facilities - one of the best hotel gyms I have used.
Only negative was that the beds were very small doubles (stayed with my wife and 2 sons aged 12&8) and the pillows were not the best.
Aside from the above- staff were brilliant and I would happily stay here or at another delta hotel again"
"Lovely , clean , large room . Very comfortable bed . In a really nice area . Lots of shops , bars and restaurants close by and close to the promenade. A short walk to the Lowry which is where we went . Thoroughly recommended, will definitely stay again ."
"We spent the weekend there.
Our first visit.
Longtime Blackpool visitors and decided we needed a change from our usual haunt of the past 20 years. A large north shore older hotel but the basement pool facility is now closed.
Our 10 years old granddaughter likes a pool.
Quite pleased with the Doric.
Plus points:
Very good & friendly staff & plenty of them.
Nice cooked breakfast with other options available in a nice waitress services dining room.
The dining room also doubles up as the entertainment venue in the evening and there is bingo and some good quality singers on too.
Room was clean and fresh bedding on the two beds.
Medium points:
Basement leisure area has a fairly small 3 foot deep pool and a small ‘hot tub’.
A steam room that doesn’t look like it’s working and no sign of the advertised sauna.
Parking is not plentiful. We arrived at 4.10pm and just managed to get a spot down the side of the hotel. Which is tight and relies on you leaving your keys at reception so they can move cars in and out if needed.
To be fair. Nothing moved over the weekend.
Not great:
The room was hot / without any heating on.
Room & bathroom windows were opened by us and didn’t make much difference till well after midnight, so was a little uncomfortable.
There was a fan available in the wardrobe, which would have been a toss up between the fan noise and the heat…
Bath taps quite old and hard to turn on & off.
Would stay again. Hoping for a better room next time. We had #59"
"Had a really lovely stay for two days as we were going to a couple of shows. Breakfast was excellent with plenty to eat and good variety of food. Some good bar foods available too.
Clean room and bathroom, but could have done with some dusting on lamps and shelves.
Staff were really good and helpful. We found the hotel charming and a real lovely old feel to it and the prices were reasonable.
Thank you for a lovely stay."
