"For the most part we enjoyed our stay very much. The room was clean, comfortable and (mostly) quiet. The continental breakfast had a wide variety of pastries, fruit salad, yogurt, cold and hot cereal, OJ, coffee and tea. There were two racks for securing our bikes (though no protection from the elements). Wi-Fi worked great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location gave us quick access to many stores and restaurants up and down Rt 1 and put us withing 25 minutes of many attractions along the seacoast and in Portsmouth.
But we had to deduct one star from our overall rating because of a few small annoyances. There was no vent fan in the bathroom. The water temperature in the shower could vary unexpectedly when someone in another room flushed their toilet or ran their water. The door required two hands to open; one to turn the key and the other to operate the door latch. The HVAC could be run on HEAT, COOL or FAN ONLY, which is good, but there was a faintly unpleasant odor when running the unit. There was a rather tattered spring-loaded pull down shade on the window that was difficult to adjust. All minor complaints, to be sure, but annoying nonetheless."
