The hostel is very clean and well maintained. The bunkbeds are equipped with privacy curtains. I also loved the communal area as well as the onsite washer dryer combo. All around a solid hostel.

Ideal location, friendly staff

Perfect location near major attractions and metro connections. Common areas were very small but always clean and staff very friendly. My only problem with the hostel was that because itā€™s small and my room was near the common area it could be quite noisy with inconsiderate guests making loud noise in the middle of the night (not the fault of the hostel obviously but just something to bear in mind)

Not bad for a hostel

Not bad, would consider booking again. I liked the location and the fact that there was a curtain for privacy, also there was a small shelf and a power outlet. The bed was comfortable. There wasn't too much air in the room and the air condition did not seem to be working that well. It was hot and humid even in winter with 12 people sleeping there. Also, there was a window from my bed to a patio with no covers that opened automatically during the siesta, letting in 4 degree air from the outside.

It was truly the worst hotel stay ever. I will rate my experience and share it on all those websites. The woman working at the reception was not up to the required standard for handling guests and answering their questions. She kicked me out of the hotel just for asking if there were bananas at breakfast! She was unprofessional and unwilling to listen to me. I have never seen anything like this before. When I refused to leave the hotel because I had paid in advance for five nights, she called the police. All the guests witnessed that I did not do anything disrespectful to her. The rest of the staff were kind and helpful, but this woman was truly rude. I will share my experience to prevent other guests from facing the same treatment from this woman. She completely ruined my vacation. She wrote her Name but I think itā€™s not correct she is Uyanga

It was an incredible experience staying at the Petit Hostel Palacio Real. Everything was fine, the staff was friendly, and everything was clean. The only problem and bad experience was sharing a mixed room with four people. I was there for a couple of days. The last night was horrible: a Uruguayan guy. He was singing, coming in and out of the room a thousand times after everyone was asleep. He didn't care that we were sleeping. I asked him if he knew it was a shared room and that we could hear everything, to which he replied, "What do you want me to do?" I can make as much noise as I want. He insulted me and told me what I had to do in his room: "This was a shared room." I had to go to the administration to get the curfew lifted. The administration staff called him out, and afterward I couldn't sleep all night. I don't know if he was drunk and made the nasty comment, "What is this fat guy doing in my room?" When I was with the receptionist, he confronted me and denied everything he had done. I think it would be nice to have a four-bed room just for women and avoid the uneducated men. Obviously, I chose this room to avoid sharing with too many people. I have no complaints about the hostel; it's a perfect place for a traveler just passing through.
