Everything was perfect (room was ready so early check-in, room and bathroom clean and spotless) until we asked for a kettle. €5 rental fee for a plastic white kettle which could not have been worth €10. We were surprised so confirmed that it was to hire and not just a bond… Not a lot of money but really?

This hotel is huge but welcoming. The room was a decent amount of space with a comfortable bed. I love that you can do your laundry here. This is a plus for a hotel. I would recommend this hotel for travelling families because of this feature. There is only one washing machine and one dryer but the facilitate free.

Hotel staff are exceptional, especially the young gentleman on the hotels reception. Big clean hotel with decent facilities and a nice clean smelling and friendly vibe to it. As daft as it sounds you feel safe in the hotel. The entrance of the hotel looks directly onto Magdeburg translation which is perfect for commuting to airports and major cities.

The Maritim Hotel in Magdeburg is in every way a magnificent hotel. The staff were second to none in their efforts to make their guests feel at home. For example, I had a small technical problem with the TV. A quick explanation from reception and it was fine. They followed up with me shortly after, not by phone to the room. They personally came to my room on the sixth floor. A truely brilliant hotel

We decided to have our dinner at the restaurant. When we came there it was full of people. We got told, that there was no seat available, because they had many groups there. Told them, that we are also a guest of the hotel. No chance. Was very upset and had to leave the hotel to find something around the area. To make a phone call outside with hotel phone, wasn't able neither, did not work, even somebody had to come to check it out.

It was Ok but tired

Rooms were nice and large but are in need of modernisation. Breakfast was good but at around £20 a day it was too expensive. No tea or coffee in the room and also no irons.

Overall for convenience close to train main station. It charges 5 euro for using hotel pajamas! Unbelievable! It gives only one bottle of water regardless how many people are in the same room, unbelievable!

Front desk manager insulting

I always stay at the Maritim when over for business , this time I was staying for 4weeks and was made to feel like a criminal by the front desk manger Luke’s Dobbelstien he was rude and actually took unauthorised payment from my account without any formal discussion , made me feel embarrassed and uncomfortable as other guest stood by His attitude towards me was rude and disrespectful and showed zero customer service level of any kind , He also chatters away in German to his receptionist who then looked uncomfortable
