"This is a primitive camping site. Yes the tent is large and there is an outdoor toilet and shower which is delightful but this is still just a camp site. No other facilities. There is no A/C and it can get quite hot in the tent. We had a wonderful candle lit dinner by the chef who also lit us a fire which was beautiful under the stars. Some holes in the tent need to be fixed due to mosquitos. "

"The property is a newly built house, great design, very ill maintained. Smelly blankets, no bedsheet between the blanket and your body. Uncleaned rags in front of the bathroom. "Shehan and Shri run this awesome guesthouse, and they are fantastic! They are wonderfully kind and thoughtful. They have extensive international hospitality experience, and they helped me arrange top-notch transport from Colombo, around Anurhadapura, and a dream tour around the ancient cities—all very last-minute. The room was cute, clean, and cozy. Very reliable hot water and AC. Delicious, nourishing food. Guesthouse is 2 minutes walking to some shops and a solid locals’ dinner spot. Prices for private touring transport were very reasonable, and the drivers were kind, extremely professional. I was solo and felt very safe. They also were kind enough to take photos and provided some pertinent historical/cultural guidance as we toured. "
