Giant tortoises are the longest-lived of all vertebrates, averaging over 100 years. The oldest on record lived to be 152. You have to walk about 2.5km to get to Tortuga Beach, but it is completely worth it. Very few people on the beach, but lots of iguanas everywhere. :) Strong currents, please follow the flags on the beach.
