Ideal location for a stay in Granada! Property provides a relaxing vibe and the food was excellent! Central and walking distance to most of Granada’s attractions. Parque Central is right in front and was very active with local events during our stay. Family friendly and definitely will return!

The city centre is very noisy at weekends and this noise permeates into the hotel but nevertheless we love it. A quiet oasis most of the time, very beautiful hotel, very courteous and helpful staff, lovely breakfast. And of course Granada offers many delights.

From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and professionalism of the staff made us feel welcomed and comfortable throughout our stay. Every team member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our experience memorable. A special thank-you goes to Daniela Ruiz and Carlos, who truly went above and beyond in assisting us with planning day trips and excursions. Their recommendations, attention to detail, and willingness to help made exploring the area stress-free and enjoyable. Their exceptional customer service added a personal touch that made our trip even more special. The hotel’s location was another major highlight. It is conveniently within walking distance of shops, local markets, restaurants, and many of Granada’s attractions, making it easy to experience the culture and charm of the city without needing transportation for every outing. The property itself was comfortable, well-maintained, and offered a relaxing atmosphere after a full day of exploring. Overall, this was an outstanding experience, and I would absolutely return to Hotel Plaza Colon on my next visit to Nicaragua. We absolutely LOVED our stay at Hotel Plaza Colon! It’s a fantastic location close to so many fun things to see and do in Granada. The oversized, well-appointed colonial room had a super comfy bed with crisp linens. Coffee station, drinking water, hairdryer, toiletries, rain head shower, and more are stocked and ready for you upon arrival- as well as ice cold AC! The pool area, patios, and seating areas within the hotel are comfortable and perfect for visiting or relaxing. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay fabulous. We were met with warm hospitality and superb service at every turn. The food and drinks were incredible… breakfast was second to none, including the best omelette I’ve ever had. Don’t miss that! Only critique would be to update photos and website. The property, rooms, lobby, bar all look so much nicer in person than on the photos. We had a fabulous time here while on Granada and hope to come stay again soon! The hotel far exceeded our expectations.
