"The hotel and the location were lovely. However, we were given a room clearly prepared for only one person. I had to request a second set of towels and we only received one bottle of water. We had dinner in the restaurant. It was very pricey but that is to be expected in a hotel. However, to only get one fillet of small fish for £ 26 was taking the mick. My partner had pasta (the only veggie option) and when he had eaten half of it, we saw it was floating in huge amounts of oil. Having eaten half of it, he finished the meal. He asked the waitress to tell the kitchen that this was not OK. She took the plate to the kitchen but did not care to come back for any feedback. When paying we asked and she mumbled something about we should have said earlier and she had not added any tip to the bill! We then asked at reception to talk to the manager but were told they would not be in for another two days! The next morning there was no hot water and as I was wet already, I had a very cold shower. We called reception (again),a man appeared who checked and agreed with us but said maintenance would sort it later. We went for breakfast where the coffee machine first had no milk and a few minutes later stopped working completely for cleaning. We then discovered other rooms had np hot water either. In the evening still no hot water but were told it had been fixed. Next morning no hot water. We asked for the manager to contact us but that never happened. Such a shame."

"We had a 3-day stay: the room was very tired, never cleaned, the towels were never changed, and the bin ended up full because there was no room service. TV remote was taped up and not working. Food was expensive and very poor. Pasta was ordered and served in a small dessert bowl, which was supposed to be a main meal. The kids' meal that was ordered was probably twice the size. Breakfast was okish. After the first day, we ended up going elsewhere for food."
