The AC unit continued to freeze up and turn off. The unit was a small one to begin with and the maintenance team said to turn it off for an hour to defrost when it happens… then, my fiancee and I were stuck in the elevator for 15 minutes. The alarm didn’t work, the call button didn’t work and the camera was monitored or wasn’t working as we tried to get someone’s attention. My fiancee was crying and I was alarmed as the temperature grew to very hot inside. I eventually attempted to pry the doors open with success and we climbed out. In informing the staff manager as we were super upset, we only received an apology and didn’t even consider comping our breakfast or anything. I’ve never been trapped in an elevator and I can tell you with none of the alarms, phone or camera working was incredibly stressful.
